We have been retained by one of the world’s leading executive search and leadership consulting firms to assist them in appointing Associates to different practice areas.

We have helped many individuals transition into these roles over the last fifteen years and the pathway from ‘Recruiter’ into a Search Associate has proven to be a highly successful pathway. Many people in the recruitment industry are unaware of the nuances of such a role, yet those who have joined Executive Search firms at Associate level have found that many of the skills they have learned in the early years of their recruitment career have served them well in an Associate role.

You work alongside highly experienced Partners & Principals who operate locally, regionally and globally within their industry sector, thus your reach is far beyond what you would normally be exposed to in the recruitment industry – where one tends to be very functionally aligned and often even within a certain jurisdiction of the CBD.

Contrary to popular belief, the role of an Associate (or Research Associate) is not a back office role. You will be exposed to client conversations and meetings from very early on in your tenure, you will form an integral part of the ‘project’ team which delivers on assignments at CEO/CxO/Exec level for the firm’s clients and you will soon discover that working on assignments where you are adding value to the client at every step of the process is a highly rewarding one.

The pathways available for high performing Associates are also beyond many people’s expectations. There is absolute potential for individuals to progress along a ‘Pathway to Partnership’ where you may find a secondment to the US/Europe/Asia on offer within a couple of years to broaden your global horizons before moving back ‘home’ in a more senior and fee-earning role, or you may wish to progress further and deeper into assignment delivery, taking on more responsibility for this side of the search equation without necessarily wanting to generate your own client base or revenue stream.

You will be educated to a tertiary level, be a permanent resident of Australia and be able to demonstrate success from your experience within either a reputable recruitment business or corporate organisation as a researcher. Communication skills, both written and verbal, must be of the highest order.
